--The Sabres have completed three games of their season-long four-game homestand. They are 1-2 during the stay and 6-5-1 overall. The win over Boston ended a three-game home losing streak.


--The Sabres scored their third short-handed goal of the season when Jochen Hecht found the net in the second period. They scored two in the first three games but hadn't scored another since.
